Does foreign aid work? Or does it only help the rich country by keeping the poorer country dependent?

Many believe that international aid from the Affluent West countries is necessary and this foreign aid has been regarded as it works properly to the poor nations. However, I maintain that foreign donations are out of work and these are used to exploit people in need in order to take profit.

Nowadays, many nations have taken part in international or local aid groups to help our neighbours in globe. Since many global leaders believe that the need of helping other nation is pressing issue. This is a very good idea. However, this pure purpose is used badly as developed nations use labour power in poor nation and pay them low in order to raise their net profit. Furthermore, this west countries are producing advanced technology products such as ipad, iphone, and Samsung Galaxy S4 to promote in poor nations. In this case, although people in need cannot afford it, they love to get one of smart devices, and as a result their major interest turns to expensive technology products, not food, shelter, clothing and education.

On the other hand, in the world, there are more good people and groups than above ones. In addition, these groups and people give us many ways that individuals can take part in by doing donations as sending food, used clothing or talents like teaching English or farming. Recent survey in Seoul revealed that the majority of men and women hope to help our neighbours. However, they don’t know well how to and where needed help is. In this survey, if government could provide proper information to them, there are many resource of people can help poor nations in diverse ways. Consequently, our poor nations are no need to rely on only rich countries’ help.

On balance, all aid is good idea, and helping others is needed and desirable. Although we now have less time and money to take care of ourselves, once we need to look after our neighbours. This way lead to poor nations turn to wealth nations like a case of Korea, Republic.
